So i’m at Cisco’s lovely malibu estate waiting for the tour bus to get here so we can head out to Vegas and officially get this tour started. Last night was the first leg of the Skeet Skeet/Tyga/Shwayze Tour.

Tyga went on and just crusssshed. People were so hyped on his set, it was awesome. Then I hopped on and played a 30 minute warmup set of straight hits to get the kids jumping and moving around. I think I might just have to open every set this whole tour with Daft Punk “One More Time” there is really no other song that gets a party started quite like that one. I played some unreleased uber dj dork stuff but highlight of the night was probably Crookers – Big Money Comin that track is sooo massive and the sound in there was banging.

I’ll be doing a mini set on 90% of these tour dates so if you wanna come out and catch a 45 minute mini set and hang after the show please do! Gonna be funnnnnn.

Also this is a set rip from Herve’s mixmag mix. But I <3 this fake blood remix and I think it's only because of the vocal chops he uses to do the "Fake Blood" drop before the breakdown.

Oh man I forgot I even did this movie. I DJ in the party scene and got a cameo in the trailer hahaha.

EDIT: I had to post this super quick but people were asking for details… anyways my friend Shannon Woodward who is a phenomenal actress is in this flick. So is Chace from Gossip Girl he’s a super good guy too. I’m surprised i’m in the movie at all to be honest i filmed for like 3 days and made some $$ but it was pretty much me making dumb mashups and getting paid to pretend to DJ (I actually made that party like a rockstar thing one of the nights haha). Ummm ya 2 more shows for warped tour! crazy!

So remember when I had to miss all my WMC Dates? And I said it was because of something big? Well the boys and I had to film a national television commercial for Pontiac and their new “Vibe.” The commercial features “Buzzin” and has Shwayze’s mug all over it. It’ a seriously good look for the whole Shwayze record. I’m super excited it’s out now, I know some friends have seen it already but here it is online.

Gonna play at moonstone again tonight, I took the train and it was awesome as usual. Monterey’s friend Miles was on the train too, I think he was heading home.

That story about the dude who fell 47 stories and is gonna be fine is NUTS! It’s on CNN right now but nobody really cares all they wanna talk about is Britney Spears’ trip to the mental ward. Even Rony called and asked why i’m not blogging about Britney. Well shit I feel really really really bad for her, I don’t know why but if I was her i’d fucking move to the french riviera or something and fly out timbo for the next record. Meanwhile forcing paparazzi to breach my Mote if they wanted a picture.

But I do like the way K Fed has flipped his image into Father of the year type shit. You go dude! You’re bout to get both the kids (who i think you actually love) and a lot of money (which i know you love). And you’re gonna be a hero to the 6 straight backup dancers left in the game who can dream that maybe one day they can bang fergie ferg or ms. stefani and shake shit up the way you did.

Now i’m watching sportscenter and i’m bout this shit, talked to my booking agent today and we’re about 90% on some super bowl parties. Awesome! I hope the Patriots lose, theyre way too good. So here’s hoping Dallas beats them and TO pulls a flag out his shirt and burns it or something. I’d win so many ways if that happened.

Also the new google maps for blackberry can triangulate your location within like 1200 meters nuts! You just hit 0 and there is this little circle around you that says aproximately where you are.

So here we are on the edge of 2008 and it’s time to reflect on a very blessed year for yours truly. I’ve met so many great people, done some really exciting things, and have been lucky enough to impact a few people this year with my favorite thing – music.

Heres a list of individual songs that impacted me in 2007, there could have been 20 more and tomorrow it would have been in a different order. But let me know what you think in the comments.

Natasha Khan comes across as the most beautiful, intriguing person ever. I want to go on a picnic with her in the woods and listen to her tell me stories about owls and ghosts, and acorns, or whatever it is she talks about.

This is the biggest club tune of the year in my opinion, i’ve heard it played in top 40 spots in hipster spots, on power 106, it’s that great of a tune.

Lykke Li is gonna be so big in 2008, her vocal styling and production is to me like a poppy accessible Cocorosie freak folk meets Robyn thing. I love it more than a little bit (get it!)

Kate Nash is huge already I get it. But this song is a pop pleasure.

5. The Virgins – Radio Christiane

These boys are awesome, who wouldn’t sign them on the spot. Good looking chaps, with an amazing sound, all the right people around them. Theyre destined for greatness already, and are the most laidback great people.

Okay this song is a standout because it’s different but it’s not. It’s KROQ but it’s Indie, it just works.

7. Puzique – Don’t Go

Second biggest club tune of the year, this song is a Classic. Instantly. You won’t hear D.A.N.C.E. in 20 years but you might hear this.

MGMT is this a guy, a band? I don’t know but I love this song, he’s huge in 08 too.

This guy who lives in LA is my favorite, kinda kept this song to myself in 07 but he’s gonna be massive like Hot Chip massive in 08.
