Colin Powell endorses Obama.

This is a big deal. Gonna be interesting to see how this is reflected in the polls, Colin is a highly respected Republican so for him to cross party lines and endorse Obama is bigggggg. I really really hope the GOP doesn’t try to spin this as a “race” thing.

That could get ugly.

The Debate Last Night.

McCain did his best. He definitely was the “fighter” his people have been asking for at rallies. Only problem is I was watching the CNN response meter and women really didnt like when he would interject and say snide things. He probably rallied his core base, but I don’t think it was enough to score him any serious points with independents which he needs BAD.

He should have done a lot more of the “I’m not Bush” and this is why stuff and stopped talking about stuff none of the independents care about.

Either way best part of the night was the end.

Hilarious.

Bill O’Reilly Defends Barack Obama.

Yes you read that right. The video below pretty much sums it up, but in case you have been under a rock, the McCain campaign has been running ads that take an Obama statement out of context and insinuate that Barack used the expression “Lipstick On A Pig” while reffering to Sarah Palin. This is entirely in accurate and you can get the full context in the video below the jump. But in a bizzaro world never ever though this would happen turn of events Bill O’Reilly has come out to denounce this type of smear tactic and let his largely conservative audience know Obama would never say such things.

Whoa i’m thinking after that O’Reilly/Obama interview old Billy boy figured out how smart and good hearted Mr. Obama is and took a stand for a quality guy. Hell might have just frozen over.

Either way i’m about to leave to DJ the Kandi Kruise christ this is gonna be a long weekend. I’m just hoping its quiet in my room so I can read, make beats and not have to deal with a lot of dudes in rhinestones.

DMX on Obama… Incredible

The Listenerd points us to this fantastic XXL interview with rapper DMX that covers many topics, including the presidential election. A felon, DMX can’t vote, so he’s not paying too much attention to the process.

Are you following the presidential race?
Not at all.

You’re not? You know there’s a Black guy running, Barack Obama and then there’s Hillary Clinton.
His name is Barack?!

Barack Obama, yeah.
Barack?!

Barack.
What the fuck is a Barack?! Barack Obama. Where he from, Africa?

Yeah, his dad is from Kenya.
Barack Obama?

Yeah.
What the fuck?! That ain’t no fuckin’ name, yo. That ain’t that nigga’s name. You can’t be serious. Barack Obama. Get the fuck outta here.

You’re telling me you haven’t heard about him before.
I ain’t really paying much attention.

I mean, it’s pretty big if a Black…
Wow, Barack! The nigga’s name is Barack. Barack? Nigga named Barack Obama. What the fuck, man?! Is he serious? That ain’t his fuckin’ name. Ima tell this nigga when I see him, “Stop that bullshit. Stop that bullshit” [laughs] “That ain’t your fuckin’ name.” Your momma ain’t name you no damn Barack.

So you’re not following the race. You can’t vote right?
Nope.

Obama’s Speech on Race.

Come on. This was some selfless stuff, I guarantee you every person in his campaign who had a say was in his ear like “Just denounce your pastor, move on, let this blow over.” And barack easily could have done that, but he went big, kept it really real and may have fucked his campaign. But he did what was right, and in an incredibly well written (by barack himself) speech he voiced his opinion on race and showed that this country is a special one. As much as I can bash the US of A this man gives me hope.

He doesn’t play by the safe political rules and it may cost him the election but this dude is saying things that need to be said.

Sadly this may be way too complicated of a speech and a message for most of america. News outlets are gonna shrink it into a 4 word headline and that’s all most of us will see.

Don’t be that person, watch the speech above. Gather your thoughts, create an opinion and let me know what you think down below.

(sorry this got political but christ this was a ballsy move on Baracks part)

barack obama

Barack Obama, a person who some have touted as “America’s fastest rising political star” has taken the first steps to running for president in 2008.

Democratic Sen. Barack Obama said Tuesday he is taking the initial step in a presidential bid that could make him the nation’s first black to occupy the White House.

Obama announced on his Web site, www.barackobama.com, that he was filing a presidential exploratory committee. In a video on his exploratory committee web site, Obama said, “On February 10th, at the end of these discussions, in my home state of Illinois, I’ll share my plans with my friends, neighbors and fellow Americans.”

The serious debate here is do you think America is ready for a black president? I don’t know. I personally don’t think so, I think Hilary Clinton will have a tough enough time as a woman. Regardless go read more about Barack Obama’s run for president here.

And tell me what you think in the comments.

Also how about some music to brighten up your day.
