Also thisssss song, I remember when the video came out in High School and it twas all the rage. I miss nightclubs playing YYYs and Interpol and indie actually. Wait are there clubs that still play just indie rock? Like in your town wherever it may be are there nights where indie is the goto music?… I swear there was a time where I could go out and hear CYHSY, YYYs, Interpolz, etc. But now it’s all blog house everywhre.

Mum – They Made Frogs Smoke ‘Til They Exploded
There are few bands i get gitty about. Xiu Xiu is one of them. I can’t describe how I feel about them, I love the music so much that I want to call them amazing musicians but I think that would be inaccurate. What they do is so much more than music, it’s like the next level of art and message and beauty all crammed into one package that I could interact with for the rest of my life.
I’m really really excited about their new record “Women as Lovers,” it comes out on Jan. 29th and I’m gonna buy it. You should BUY it too. I’m all about stealing music, but like I said this is way more than music i’m sure the packaging and liner notes will be incredible as is the video for the single “I Do What I Want, When I Want.”

Sorry I haven’t posted on here as often as I was.
I’ve been setting up my new night: Trash And Diamonds , setting up my new night, setting up my new night, designing and developing 3 websites at the moment, looking for a new place, setting up my new night, and Djing of course.
We start Feb 28th at Social Hollywood, and it’s gonna be so rad. Words can’t explain. Ima Robot, Guns N Bombs, Me, Dan Oh, bonkers lighting, awesome staging, 2 rooms of dance music and lovin. Think London super club, gonna be miraculous.
Also last night Uffie came through to social, and we met on Tuesday so after she played social me Gina, Dan, Sarah, Jacob, Jennifer, Uffie, Jerry, Jerry’s girl, and Feadz all rolled to DJ Lethal’s pad in the Valley.
Lethal is a real nice, cool dude. Everybody had a well good time, lots of funny shit went down. Uffie’s got me wanting to go to Paris so bad, she describes it like it’s paradise.

I just picked the whole New Order discography. I needed it. So I did. Also the new Besnard Lakes is reallly great, i’ve been jamming to that a lot today.
So maybe i’ll throw up some MP3′s for you all.

Eagle Eye Cherry – Save Tonight
The Klaxons “Myths of the Near Future” has been on repeat most of this week. It’s such a solid album it doesn’t matter what genre you lump them in; new rave, nu rave, post electronic new wave hipster shit. It sounds good and whenever I hear the intro to Atlantis to Interzone I lose my shit. The whole album makes we want to break stuff and swing glow sticks at the same time.

I made the January 2007 mixtape with the notion of playing all of my favorites from this year. It didn’t work out too well, and I ended up playing some new stuff i’ve found and some stuff i’ve been playing since I started DJing. Oh well it’s still gonna be fun to boogie too.

-About 30 seconds into this ukulele backed french song, I grab lucy and stop midsentence.

Factory Girl – the movie about Edie Sedgwick which has been rewritten and fucked with a bunch of times has now severely pissed off Bob Dylan. Lots of people back in the day thought Dylan and Edie were more than just friends during their time at the Chelsea Hotel. And Looks like this movie is going to portray Dylan as the reason she commits suicide.
Needless to say he’s pissed.
Bob Dylan wants to send “Factory Girl” to the glue factory – charging the upcoming Edie Sedgwick biopic falsely suggests he was responsible for the Andy Warhol ingenue’s suicide.
The famed folkie’s pit bull lawyers have fired off a letter to producers Bob Yari and Holly Wiersma, and screenwriter Aaron Richard Golub, demanding the flick not be released – or even screened – until they see it to determine if Dylan, who they say has “deep concerns,” has been defamed.
Lou Reed already Said he hated the script months ago. And this is so well worded it’s just another reason to love Lou Reed.
I read that script. It’s one of the most disgusting, foul things I’ve seen – by any illiterate retard – in a long time. There’s no limit to how low some people will go to write something to make money.
