I’m back at JFK airport. Good thing these wifi connections are 24 hrs worth. Really coming in handy right now. We all had to rebook our flight for this morning because weather fucked up our flight for last night.
Anyways i’m catching up on my internetz and this is cool.
Photographs of phone sex operators and their stories.

Erik J you are the man. This is a super clean stencil.
Little known fact, I grew up doing stencil art and graffiti. I probably have some stuff laying around at my moms, but i’m sure all my high school buddies remember me cutting through manila folders with exacto knifes in the back of the classroom day in and day out.

See the full image on deviantart here
Anyways this is ill, ERIK IF YOU’RE OUT THERE send me other links to your art and i’ll blog that shit. For now check out homedudes myspace in his default he has on some ill audrey hepburn with headphones shirt he probably stencil’d himself. You Go DUDE
The boys in Everybody Else made one of my favorite records last year and they were nice enough to let me make a little cameo in their video for “Meat Market.” It was a seriously fun day of dancing and singing and exposing the whole film crew to hilarious internet videos.
Check out Meat market and other great tunes on their myspace here.
Also check out carrick’s art at his myspace here

Yo, so I recently got a “Wacom Tablet” for my birthday (If you don’t know what it is look it up) and I’m pretty amped on it.
But now I want one of these:
Graffiti Wall from Alex Beim on Vimeo.
It was a public wall on display in vancouver Canada, and they had artists Chris Hold fuck w/ it
So today I went tobogganing with my girls the Lindsay’s, Louis (Fake Shark! Real Zombie) and Rony and his girlfriend Lauren. We went to Seymour mountain in West Vancouver, and it was awesome. I bought some boots and snow-pants for SUNDANCE ON SATURDAY. Also after Sundance I go to Miami with the Boys.

I come back tomorrow and do this Private event at StoneRose all I know is it’s some “celebrity driven” thang so that means more clubby club mainstream tunes. Then according to my booking agent thursday i’m linking up with Katy P’s fav Travis from Gym Class and we’re going to Kristin Cavalarris’ bday that I’m DJing. Friday is San Francisco also. Man this is the most scatterbrained blog post ever let’s get to the highlights and low-lights on the internet.
LA Streetwear Vs. Hipster Drama unfolds into a lawsuit (Arab Parrot Vs. Steve Aoki)
The Party i’m doing in sundance is below basically it’s gonna be EPIC

Sooo i’m once again in the hotel in san diego laiiiiiddddd out.
Went to RVCA today and met up with Liz who took me to wearhouse and laced me out. Liz is awesome. I see her like once every 2 months and she’s always incredible. On the way down to OC I realized I didn’t have my passport and tomorrow Rony, Lauren and I are going to Vancouver for the Lindsay’s party at “NO TOFU STUDIO” clearly the best named club in the northern hemisphere. So anyways i had to drive back and get my passport which is good news because I realized I forgot my needles.
I’m kind of a wreck. But here are some things that are keeping me preoccupied at the Hotel.
This chain reaction video is EPIC, and not like i normally use epic like how I just throw it around. This is supposedly 30 minutes long or some shit. All the info is in the comments on the actual youtube page.
THE DECAPITATOR (Street Artist)
This dude or girl or animal? Is awesome, this is some awesome subversive street art. A lot of people are attempting to be “street artists” now and a lot of people are doing it wrong, this person is doing it really right.

There are few bands i get gitty about. Xiu Xiu is one of them. I can’t describe how I feel about them, I love the music so much that I want to call them amazing musicians but I think that would be inaccurate. What they do is so much more than music, it’s like the next level of art and message and beauty all crammed into one package that I could interact with for the rest of my life.
I’m really really excited about their new record “Women as Lovers,” it comes out on Jan. 29th and I’m gonna buy it. You should BUY it too. I’m all about stealing music, but like I said this is way more than music i’m sure the packaging and liner notes will be incredible as is the video for the single “I Do What I Want, When I Want.”
OMG LOVE XIU XIU!
Major props to Giant for one hell of a party. Peep a few pics of the awesomeness:
Fragile & Intricate Masterpieces
Remember the highly praised Faberge eggs from the courts of Russian tzar? Modern masters of eggshell filigree carving make similarly detailed works, using only the nature-given material: eggshell itself, cut in creative patterns by hand with high-speed drills.
Some of the fascinating galleries available on the web include the work of Ron Cheruka (you can also buy his work there, just make sure of the proper HANDLING and shipping) and Gary LeMaster, the Eggshell Sculptor.
On this page you will see the work of Lew Jensen, Don Lisk and Brian Baity, as well as various Russian and Chinese egg sculptors, with some glimpses into the creation of these carvings.

Here’s another small bunch of natural phenomena notable for their rare and bizarre beauty. (oh, and a belated merry christmas / premature happy new year to everybody who deserves them).
1. the spotted lake
the spotted lake (kliluk), situated in osoyoos, canada, contains one of the highest concentrations of minerals in the world (mainly epsom salts, calcium and sodium sulphates). the lake’s healing waters were used by native indians to alleviate aches and pains and during the first world war the salts were skimmed from the surface in huge amounts to be transported to eastern american munitions factories – sometimes as much as a ton per day.
the pattern you see below appears during hot sunny days as the water evaporates and the minerals crystallize to form hundreds of incredible yellow pools.

2. red tide
red tide, the common name for ‘algal bloom’, is caused by high levels of phytoplankton accumulating to form dense, visible clouds near the surface of the water. due to the varying colouring of the phytoplankton’s pigments, these algae blooms range in colour too. although aesthetically stunning, this naturally occuring phenomena sometimes results in a high death rate amongst certain marine life due to an increase in karenia brevis algae.

3. penitentes
these amazing ice spikes (generally known as penitentes due to their resemblence to processions of white-hooded monks) can be found on mountain glaciers and vary in size dramatically: from a few centimetres to 5 metres in height.
‘initially, the sun’s rays cause random dimples on the surface of the snow. once such a dimple is formed, sunlight can be reflected within the dimple, increasing the localised sublimation. as this accelerates, deep troughs are formed, leaving peaks of ice standing between them’ – new scientist
