Down Syndrome Dolls – No Really.

Sometimes I find things on the internet and i hurt. This is one of those times. See this is a great idea, i’m sure there are plenty of kids with down syndrome who want dolls that resemble themselves. This site however seeeeeems to be doin it wrongggggg. I can’t tell if i’m getting trolled or not. God internet you win. Today you win.

    Ears: Small ears set low on head with a fold at the top

    Mouth: Small mouth

    Tongue: Protruding tongue

    Fingers: Shortened fingers

    Eyes: Almond shaped eyes

    Hand: Horizontal crease in palm of hand

    Toes: Gap between 1st and 2nd toe

    Head: Flattened back of head

    Nose: Flattened bridge across nose

    Skeet.. you are so right. I checked out the dollies and they look nothing like my daughter or any of the other children I have seen with Down syndrome. And the product description that details the “characteristics” of the dolls is upsetting but not nearly as much as the option to pick an open mouthed/closed mouth doll. If this site is a joke, then it is pretty rude, and if it is not a joke, well then they are way off the mark.
