Just incase you missed it

The Vatican has a Youtube channel now.
http://www.youtube.com/vatican
I heard it on CNN a few days ago and immediately began to crack up.
Seriously, what the hell ?

OH!

Today I sat through an hour lecture at my college, we had a guest speaker, I believe his name was Kurt Andersen. He is a writer, an artist of sorts, and radio host of all things. He was a real cool guy, super smart. He began to lecture about how history does not repeat it self but ‘rhymes’. Things that are happening now have happened before but not exactly the same way, thus they have NOT repeated but ‘rhymed’. Anyway, he was discussing the invention of the telegraph and how it revolutionized the way people were able to communicate almost instantaneously instead of waiting days for messages to travel by foot and what not. He used Facebook status updates and TWITTER as examples of how we communicate now-a-days, concluding that history rhymes. Seriously, this guy was like 50, I barely found out what hell Twitter even was like a month ago, haha. It gets better though, he was talking about this artist of the late 1800′s and early 1900′s, I wish I could remember his name, and put up a photo of him. He laugh and called the artist a hipster based on his attire, then said ‘but he was a hipster 100 years ago!’ hahahaha those things alone made lecture all worth it and I thought it would be funny to share.

OH! pt.2
I almost had a heart attack when I heard the rumors of MORRISSEY playing Coachella, I so badly hope it is more than just a rumor, ill die happy if I am able to see him this year!!!!
WOOOOOOOO

He’s still got swagger and everything!
IN MOZ WE TRUST!

Skeet, I found your blog through a Google alert that mentioned Kurt Andersen. You don’t know how lucky you are to have a guest speaker like him. I HIGHLY suggest you go to eBay and try to buy a few copies of his magazine, SPY, dated before 1990 (after that more people got involved…). He co-founded this mag, which was not only groundbreaking but is also completely readable today. He also co-authored a book recently about the mag called “SPY: The Funny Years,” which is available on Amazon. Proves once again that Google -alerting Andersen results in finding great blogs… thanx.

Adri. you need to please stop posting such terrible blogs. this blog site was so much better before you and the rest of your art fashion ho’s got access to it(Trev, what the hell were you thinking?) i speak for a lot of people when i say it’s time to give it up. it’s just not your thing. you should focus more on your education in art. good luck and thank you.
