So i’m at my hotel room in “the tudor” in nyc and i’m thinking about how my blogging everyday thing has taken a serious hit with the touring and the press etc. I could make a nonsense post everyday but I wouldn’t want to short you good people, you don’t deserve that!
So I figured I could work with what i’ve got, and talk about things I love right now.
#1 are my new headphones. Beats by Dre.
First off disclaimer yes Dre hooked it up and Jimmy has been hyping them forever to me but i’m a pretty serious hater sometimes. I don’t believe hype and i find reasons to knock things all the damn time. Needless to say I LOVE THESE THINGS. Honestly if I break these somehow i’d have no problem shelling over the cash to get another pair. If you listen to music as much as I do these are a necessity especially while traveling.
Reasons i’m all about these headphones: They sound amazing, amazing. And they’re noise cancelling so i don’t have to kill my ears bumping stuff to hear all the frequencies while mixing. The noise cancelling can be turned on without having to hear music too, so now when i’m in my bunk on the bus just reading i’ll plop those on and cancel out Shwayze’s GTA 4 gun shots.
They come in an awesome box and yes i’m a sucker for packaging so the hardshell case you get to carry them around in (complete with caribeener) was a nice selling point. Also theres a cable for cellphones so you can use these with an iphone or blackberry or whatever. I have the old 8700 blackberry still so i haven’t used it but iphoners will probably dig that.
I don’t know when they come out but I think it’s soon, UPDATE: July 25th is the launch date and there are more details at Engadget.

I’m pickin these cans up today, but I’m surprised a DJ is into them for performance. From what I’ve heard from a few DJ’s that noise cancellation really messes with the freq’s from enviroment to enviroment.
But hey, if it works it works. Can’t wait to get my paws on these.

DUUUUDE, these drephones are off the hook. I am hearing a ridiculous amount of detail (almost a TMI-level of detail) and the sound quality on the drephones is amazing. I recommend anyone whole truly cares about their music to land a paid of drephones TODAY! OUT.
