So where has my last week been? I don’t even know. It’s all kind of been a blur, but luckily I came to nashville a few days early to eat some Pancake Pantry go to rock shows and get back to reality.

Below is a seriously long post about the last weeks events including hipster polygamists, LARP, tiny airplanes, “my new haircut”, malibu, miami, charlotte, and nashville.

Wednesday Night: Hung out at Cisco’s all day and went to DJ Rossstar’s apartment for an interview with cis and shwayze.

Thursday: Woke up at cisco’s met with stylists and got ready for a day of photoshoots for promo/press with cisco and shwayze. Had my good friends Taelor and Jillian come out to model in some of the shots so that made it more of a party than a photoshoot. Did stuff at ciscos house, the beach, all over malibu twas a lonnnnng day. But a fun day. At like 9pm we wrapped and I had to drive to Foxtail to go DJ, was a fun night but by 11pm I was ready for sleep. Luckily the crowd was hyped, and I had em dancing till the big man told me to bring the music down at 2am.

Friday: Woke up early, packed my bags for an extended vacation said by to Lauren and headed out to Katy Perry‘s music video shoot with the amazing Kinga Burza. Kesha, Mia, Markus and many more friendly faces were at the shoot. I’m telling you now this video is GONNA BE SO AMAZING. Katy wouldn’t have it any other way, she got an incredible location, beautiful girls, and the always impresseive Partizan crew to hold it down. Anyways I wrapped my cameo in the video at like 6pm and had to head straight to USC where me and the boys were playing with MGMT at USC Derby Days. We finished at like 8:30 pm and we had to head straight to the airport to fly redeye to Miami. Such a bummer cuz I wanted to see MGMT real bad and Ana, Cory, and Myles had just showed up.

Saturday: I woke up in Orlando at 6am east coast time, 3am LA time. We had a 3 hour layover which sucked so bad, but I grabbed a little smoothy drink set my alarm on my bberry and blacked out on the airport floor. Woke up and got on the SMALLEST PLANE OF MY LIFE! Seriously I fly like 3 times a week on the regular and this was the smallest plane I’ve ever been on. There was one seat on either side of the plane, the pilot was also the stuard he read our safety instructions then closed a curtain and was in the pilot cabin area. I seriously could have just gotten out of my seat moved the curtain and started flying the fucker. But luckily it was like an hour connection and we were in miami ready to get down with the get down. We got to the Metropole, i fell asleep for another hour and had to go to soundcheck. Me, dj skribble, ?uestlove, DJ Slynkee, Cisco, Mello, Dave Navarro, Shwayze, and a few others climbed into our transport vehicle thing and watched “my new haircut” on ?uest’s Iphone because it’s so appropriate for miami haha

After soundcheck I lamped around, met up with Lexi and watched DJ Mom Jeans (Danny M) tear it up. He brought Bijou out so it was a little piece of home out in miami. Dave, Skrib, ?uest, and Slynkee did their thing for 30 minutes on the mainstage for 10,000 people then J Mello got on and rocked it for a few songs got the crowd into a bit of a hip hop mood and me,shwayze and cisco hit the stage. Played Roamin, Polaroid, Flashlight, and a little buzzin remix medley i edited before show. Went from the original buzzin into the bangin ass Villains remix. So the House heads could get ready for Deep Dish and Groove Armada. It was real fun and the video of the whole show is streaming on repeat at myspace.com/blivemiami.

After the show I was booked to play at Rokbar and Skribble was playing at Mint which we later found out were right next door to each other haha. So we went and got some food quick at Catalina Hotel it was real good and the waitress chick gave us a free bottle cuz she reckognized us from the show. Craaaazy. I don’t even drink but the rest of the crew certainly appreciated. We finished up there and I headed over to Rokbar, crowd was into a bunch of stuff so I played everything from banging hipster house to tom petty to kanye to you name it. I finished up at like 4am got paid and headed straight back to my hotel to get my stuff. Got to the hotel got my bags and got in the car with Sarah (the roots tour manager). We were on the same connector flight to charlotte so that made things a bit easier at 5am. We got through security and watched the larry king live special with the polygamist wives. SO CRAZY. But admit if you just saw those ladies chillling on TV you’d think they were a group of your hipster chick friends chilling in williamsburg.

Sunday: Anyways I got on the plane, got to Nashville and was picked up by my Nashville Fav’s Libby and Lola. We went to chanel‘s house and i threw on my only collared shirt and headed to church. I got to meet the head of the Broock’s family – Pastor Rice Broocks and it was onnnnnn. I got my spirituality on and enjoyed the gospel choir vibe for some time. They had a really tight church band up front and this lady who was fronting the band had some serious pizazz.

We left church and drove to Jacksons to go eat, but it was crazy packed so we went to J. Alexanders this seriously good restaurant. I had some delicious cornbread and went back to Chanel’s with libby and lola. On the way to chanels I SAW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN REAL LIFE >>>> LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAY (LARP) these dudes were dressed all medieval swinging swords at each other in the park AWESOME! Anyways we made it back to Chanel’s and the girls watched “Enchanted” while I fell asleep on the couch haha.

I woke up and we watched the trailer for “The Strangers” which looks so creepy I don’t even know what to do. But Gemma Ward is in it, so maybe i’ll check it out based on that reason alone. We also listened to some of the songs Chanel was finishing for her record on warner bros. I think Emmylou Harris might sing on one of the tracks OMFG craaazy.

Anyways after that I stopped by the broocks home and met the rest of the fam. Tried to Rip Stick for a bit, and went to sleep.

NO going out for me cuz tonight is like Christmas! GOSSIP GIRL 14 FTW!!!!!!!!!!!! yayayayayaya I think I might go to Dollywood while i’m here also. Dolly Parton’s very own theme park. OMG I have to.
