GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!!!!
How is everybody feeling on this fine Monday morning on the last day of March. I am personally feeling alive and mobile. Although I’m exhausted from the past few weeks, months, and years of my life I still feel the fire burning and I am smiling more than I frown. Its been a wild time in the camp lately as we gear up toward the release of the SHWAYZE record. We went on On-Air with Ryan Seacrest a week and a half ago and premiered “Buzzin’” on KIIS FM! That night it hit the Top 9 at 9 and has been in and out of it every night since. I cannot tell you how it feels when you get in your car and turn it on and on comes your song. It is priceless!! I hope you all get the same feeling when you hear it on the radio because after all if you’ve been bumping this for the past year and half it is your song too!!! This week the song starts to get added to other stations around the nation so listen up for it and lets make it the soundtrack to the best summer ever!!!
SXSW was the bomb this year and we played like 5 shows and did a bunch of press and hit every party in town. I saw MGMT live, who we are playing with in a few weeks at USC(check show dates), and they were SICKKKKK! These dudes are young but they are wise. I kicked it with em back stage for a moment before they went on and shot the shit about shait. The last night of the festival we played PEREZ HILTON’S One Night in Austin Party. We were going .. NERD, which was a bit un-nerving, and only became completely scary after they got on stage and tore down the house like a hip-hop LED ZEPPELIN. I was floored by the Pharell, the band, and the sheer volume of their set…they had two drummers and like 5 guitars! Anyway, the show must go on and after they got off it took like 6 hours to strike their gear so when we went on the crowd was ready for more. We rocked that shit at 4am and slid out the back to the hotel and half the crew bounced to the airport immediately. I hopped a plane to Houston to hang for a few days. Houston was chill and I will return in time. What up TOW DOWN!!!!!???

After Houston we were supposed to go to Aculpoco for two Spring Break shows but the night before at 2 am I got a text saying Mexico is cancelled because we couldnt make it back for Seacrest. But I was the only one who got the text and I couldnt get a hold of any of the agents or managers as it was the middle of the friggin’ night!!! So i bbm Skeet, who is DJing in Park City, and tell him to stay on alert and just head to the Airport as planned because his flight was at 6am. I told Warren and Shwayze, who were at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood waiting to be picked up at 4am for their 6am as well, to wait on my word in the mornign and be prepared for a pull out. I woke up at 6am(5am-LA, 6am-UTAH). I get the answer that we cannot go to Aculpoco because of time constraints and everyone should head back to LA. Skeet got the message from his seat on the plane to Mexico and barely got off in time!!! It was classic! All was well and all will be as well…
