  haha so very true. hip hop has been going in this direction for awhile. More technical synth lines in more mainstream rap. Just listen to the 8-bit synth line in Ayo Technology. that shit is straight crystal castles.

  Thx for the DL. The beat is on point. It has a vintage 80s R&B beat (heavy on the synth), which is cool for those of us old enough to remember songs like that.

  I don’t care too much for the Jeezy verse… “I’ll be like your medicine, you’ll take every dose of me…” If he weren’t Jeezy or another established rapper, he wouldn’t be able to get away with a verse like that .

  A magazine said it reminded them of an Akon song. I disagree. No disrespect, but I always think of Akon’s songs as “(insert rapper) featuring Akon.” His voice, while unique, doesn’t dominate a track like Usher’s does.
