I am not a big fan of dating. So things like monogamous relationships and marriage scare the shit out of me. I have come to the point I have feared in my life where my friends are getting married. I hate it. Yet, I never entirely mind an excuse to buy a dress.

So, I begin discussing my hatred for marriage and or sleeping any way besides alone with a bunch of couples, the other evening. They are all sort of cuddling or touching each other as I sit across from them with my boyfriend, my Blackberry.

I detail this, “If I get married, homeboy has to have a good amount of cash. We need a 3+ bedroom house. I get my own bedroom. He gets his own bedroom. Then we have a third bedroom very Vegas-meets-the Poconos with mirrored ceilings and faux fur rugs. That’s the “makeout room.” They all sort of look at their significant other, then back at me, awkwardly smiling.

I shrug, “I like sleeping alone.”

This is my dress for Lauren’s wedding.

I am wearing the black one.

Wes is wearing the white one.
