On a crisp and sunny Saturday morning in early March, in the shadow of Cornell University, 150 coeds with good teeth and good hair mill about a fraternity house. The place smells like a hangover, and the wood floors feel as if they’ve been shellacked with Milwaukee’s Best. Girls sip coldish Riesling from oversize plastic cups, barking into cell phones; boys play beer pong and talk about how drunk they’re going to get this afternoon.
